Highlights

Newfoundland & Labrador wrapped up this most successful women's hockey competition ever at the Canada Winter Games, knocking off Nova Scotia 3-1 in the fifth-place game. Alicia Betts and team captain Peggy Wakeham scored late in the third period to clinch the win for NL.
Erin Earle, who was taken from the ice on a stretcher during Newfoundland & Labrador's game against Prince Edward Island on Tuesday, returned to the ice for the fifth-place game. Earle was held pointless, but her return surely inspired her team, who had their best showing ever at a Canada Winter Games.
