Highlights

Team Alberta and Team Saskatchewan didn't disappoint. The two gold-medal contenders fought for 60 minutes, but neither team could find the back of the net as the game ended in a scoreless tie. Jacob DeSerres stopped 24 shots for Alberta and Jeffrey Bosch turned away 29 in the Saskatchewan net for the shutouts. Both goaltenders were outstanding. Bosch made the save of the game when he stoned Alberta's Lance Bouma, who had a partial breakaway, and then kicked out a rebound.
Tyler Myers of Alberta, on a glorious feed from Jordan Eberle, had a wide-open net in the final minute of the game, but his shot hit the post. The Team Alberta bench was ready to celebrate when the chance occured, but to no avail.
