Bison Butte Mountain Bike Course

1961 McCreary Road
Winnipeg, MB R3P 2K9

Located in the southwest corner of Winnipeg inside the perimeter, Fort WhyteAlive provides programming and facilities for environmental education and outdoor recreation. The mandate for sustainable living provided the perfect location for the development of a permanent mountain bike course for the Games integrated into the existing trails and outdoor spaces on-site.

2017 Games Legacy

The newly developed Bison Butte Mountain Bike Course is a major legacy project of the 2017 Canada Summer Games. The project was initiated by the Manitoba Cycling Association and will be the first of its kind in city of Winnipeg’s size. The course is a series of interlocking trails suitable for all levels of mountain biking including berms, a pump track, rock gardens and table tops.
