Born in Saskatoon, Catriona LeMay Doan. Catrina was a member of Saskatchewan’s Speed Skating team at the 1983 Canada Games. She has since become a multi-medalist at the Olympics, and holds the World and Olympic record in the 500m event. Catriona’s accomplishments have earned her three Canadian Female Athlete of the Year awards. She was inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and recently appointed Officer of the Order of Canada.
