The University of Winnipeg's Duckworth Centre is widely recognized as one of Canada's premier gymnasiums. Named after former University of Winnipeg President Henry Duckworth, the Centre is located in downtown Winnipeg.


Built in 1983, it hosts the University of Winnipeg Wesmen basketball and volleyball teams, and accommodates 1,700 spectators in total. The facility hosted the 2016 Men’s U17 and U15 basketball championships as a test event for the 2017 Canada Summer Games. The Duckworth Centre provides all the necessary spaces to host major events and is the home of the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame.
