Food and Beverage Services

Assists in various activities relating to the venue feeding of Games athletes, volunteers and officials at competition and non-competition venues.

 

Venues

Attendant, Athlete Lounge

Duties: To welcome athletes to the lounge; ensure lounge is stocked with food and other requirements and reordering process is followed; maintains and tidies the lounge area.

Skills:

  • Previous food and beverage experience and food handlers course preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, take direction and make decisions within defined parameters.  
  • Understanding of technical requirements of the food and beverage plan.
  • Medium Activity Level

Attendant

Duties: Works within Volunteer Lounge; ensures lounge is stocked with food and other requirements and reordering process is followed; maintains and tidies the lounge area.

Duties: Supervise and schedule the volunteer food and beverage service attendants. Assist with the commissioning and decommissioning of the venue food service area. Liaise with various client groups to determine needs.  Assist with the implementation of the food & beverage plan.

Skills:

  • Previous food and beverage experience and food handlers certified.
  • Strong leadership and decision making skills.  
  • Knowledge of the technical requirements of the food and beverage plan.  
  • Liaise with food & beverage service provider.
  • High Activity Level
  • Basic Computer Skills

Villages

Attendant

Duties: Deliver all components of venue food and beverage service.  Work with other volunteers and various client groups.  Assist with cleaning and organizing the food & beverage area.  Rotate between bag check, entrance, serving and dining areas.  

Skills:

  • Previous food and beverage experience and food handlers course preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, take direction and make decisions within defined parameters  
  • Understanding of technical requirements of the village food and beverage plan.

High Activity Level.

Supervisor

Forks Festival

Attendant

Duties:  Maintain service for on-site catering tent for Volunteers and Site Crew. Such as stocking and restocking supplies, cleaning and recycling etc.

Skills: Familiar with Food service and standards is an asset. Good people and communication skills. Ability to maintain a strong, but pleasant presence amongst a crowd.

Able to sustain energy for long, late hours.
