Happy 149th Birthday, Canada!

With Canada’s 149th birthday just around the corner, it’s time for Manitoba to gather and celebrate!

Free events for all ages are happening all over our amazing province and Travel Manitoba, the Games’ Visitor Experience partner, has filled its event calendar with all there is to do on Canada Day in Manitoba. Visit Travel Manitoba’s website to add your Canada Day celebrations to your itinerary.

Whether you want to be a part of this year’s living flag, watch local mascots race, take in performances by local artists, or check out magical fireworks displays, the celebrations are sure to please. If you’re lucky enough to see them all, you’ll also be lucky enough to spend time with Niibin!

The Canada Games are this country’s largest multi-sport event for young athletes and in 2017 will celebrate their 50th anniversary along with Canada’s 150th birthday.
