It’s been a busy year for the 2017 Canada Summer Games staff and volunteers. As we look forward to 2017 and prepare to host The Hottest Summer in Half a Century, we look back and remember in 2016 we:
Welcomed a number of sponsors, Friends of the Games, and community supporters to the Games family
Announced and named our mascot, Niibin
Celebrated at the Countdown to the Games: One Year To Go event at the Forks
Announced legacy projects: Bison Butte Mountain Bike Course and Sargent Park Beach Volleyball Centre
Set out to recruit 6,000 volunteers
Unveiled the torch for the Manitoba Hydro torch relay
Sent a call out for local artists to design the Games’ medals
Launched the first phase of ticket sales, and so much more!
Thank you for helping make all of this a success!
From all of us to all of you, we wish you a wonderful holiday season and the very best in the New Year.
See you in 2017!
The 2017 Canada Summer Games office at 270-240 Graham Avenue will be closed from Friday, December 23, 2016 until Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
