HOT SHOTS: Day 13 in Photos

By Kirsten Neil

Sun’s out, athletic fun’s out. Well, after a rainy day on Wednesday, Thursday arrived basking in sunshine. It was a perfect day to take in the Canada Games. Competitions are starting to wind down now and we’re thrilled at what we’ve seen so far, but also getting a bit sad thinking that we only have a few day left. Here’s how good yesterday looked...

Life is a highway, I want to ride it all day long. At least our amazing cyclists do! Yesterday, the Men’s Road Race ripped through 120km in Birds Hill Park. Congrats to Pier-André Côté on winning Gold for Team Quebec!

'm serving on that, serving, serving on the big court. Tennis brought the aces out yesterday at Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club. There’s still plenty of action to catch on the court. Semi-Finals are today and Gold Medal games are Saturday.

So tell me why should it be true, that I get a kick out of you. Yesterday, saw shutouts, ties and a lot of heart at Men’s Soccer. Today all that fun continues at Ralph Cantafio.

Hit me with your best shot, fire away. The hits keep coming in Women’s Softball at John Blumberg. The Qualification Rounds are just about done and this weekend will see a bunch of real tough competitors fighting to top the podium.

When I go out, yeah, I know Nova Scotia night is where I’m gonna be. I’m gonna be the one who dances along with you. Nova Scotia brought a bit of their Scottish roots with them at Festival last night. The Trews and Natalie MacMaster stole the show.

It's written on the wind, it's everywhere I go. So if you really love me, come on and let it show. Niibin is all around, indeed. Don’t forget to take a selfie with him when he comes says hi.

They’re proud, they’re loud, get used to it

I'm addicted and I just can't get enough. We hear you, friends, families and fans. We can’t either

Let’s hear it for the volunteers! Let’s give them all a hand. You’re just rocking it every single day.

The games are here for a good time, not a long time, so you don’t want to miss a minute! Get your tickets before it’s too late.
