Main Media Centre
Duties: Provides support to media at the Main Media Centre. Assists with daily setup tasks for start of venue operations as well as for any media conferences. Keeps Main Media Centre tidy. Assists media with accessing approved Games publications and information. Assists Blog Squad and Photo/Video volunteers as required. Troubleshoots issues with multimedia software at Media Centre. Directs media inquiries to Main Media Centre Supervisor. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, supervisory experience are assets.
Skills: Advanced English language skills, Intermediate Computer skills.
Duties: Oversees operations of the Main Media Centre and supports Main Media Centre volunteers. Works with Main Media Centre Lead to resolve media accreditation issues. Directs media inquiries and interview requests to the appropriate contact based on Games-time media relations policy and the Games communications directory. Develops and distributes daily run sheet for events at Main Media Centre with direction from Host Society Communications Manager. Ensures media feeding area is stocked and maintained. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, supervisory experience are assets.

Duties: Takes photographs and/or video at both sport and non-sport events at various venues. This role will work with Photo/video Administrator to transfer files efficiently from each shift. Applies keywords and necessary metadata to files upon import. Own professional photography and video equipment required. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop,Lightroom,Prelude,Premiere, professional or semi-professional experience are major assets.
Skills: Fluent in English, Basic computer skills.
Duties: Compiles and uploads photos and videos as they come in from Photography/Video volunteers. Selects and edits preferred photos, reviews keywords and adds titles, creates Flickr sets and web galleries as needed and manages and organizes the active Games-time photo and video library.

Website Administrator (EN + FR)
Duties: Oversees Games website administration and preparation of content for posting, Official Languages compliance, and content quality control prior to posting. Works directly with Host Society communications staff, Blog Squad supervisors, and Photo/Video administrators.
Skills: Advanced English Language Skills, French Fluent, Intermediate computer skills.
Blog Squad Crew
Duties: Reports on and observes the Games, posts articles, tweets, links, videos, photos, etc. during Games -time, following the communications and marketing social media strategies. This role interacts with a wide variety of stakeholders while attending events and interviewing participants. Own smartphone/device (iOS/Android) required.
Blog Squad Supervisor (EN + FR)
Duties: Oversees the overall operation of blog squad volunteers, edits and enters content into website and social media scheduling platforms for review and posting by Website Administrators and Host Society staff.
Skills: Advanced English language skills, French Fluent, basic computer skills. Can drive vehicle.
Duties: Helps implement the daily operations of their assigned venue, including the information kiosk, media rooms, mixed media zones, photography zones, and mascot areas. This role assists Mascot volunteers with scheduling mascot appearances. Facilitates the distribution of publications to media and to spectators. Media relations experience is an asset, but not required.
