Assists in the areas of ticket taking, greeting and ushering of spectators, accessibility, and environmental services.

 

Ticket takers, ushers, hosts, mobility hosts at venues

Crew

Duties: Responsible for spectator tickets and other visitors to the venue. Number counts as to not exceed capacity.  Assist spectators to the appropriate seating area in communication with the ticket takers. Host VIPs and direct to VIP seating or any lounges.

Skills:

  • Strong skills in customer service and communication
  • Pleasant demeanor and professional appearance
  • Excellent communication skill

Moderate Physical Activity.

Supervisor

Duties:

Coordinating the Spectator Services in the venue.  Responsible for overseeing, assigning and deploying the ticket takers, ushers and hosts.  Addressing and resolving any challenges and reporting to Venue Chair as required

Skills:

  • Demonstrated skills in customer service and communication
  • Pleasant demeanor and professional appearance
  • Excellent communication skills, preferably in English and French
  • Moderate Physical Activity

Environment at Venues

Crew 

Duties: Responsible for on the ground venue cleaning, waste management and recycling.  To ensure waste containers are emptied and managed appropriately.  To remove all waste from venue between sessions and at the end of each day.  To ensure washrooms are regularly stocked and all spectator areas are clean and free of debris and hazards.

Skills: High level of physical activity.

Supervisor

Duties:Responsible for the oversight of all venue cleaning, waste and recycling.  Supervision of cleaning and waste crews, supplies, communications with service providers or venue owners and reporting to Venue Chair as required.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Cleaning and Waste/Environment at Forks Festival

Crew

Duties: Maintain front of house (Site) and back of house (Backstage) cleanliness, empty garbage, recycling, etc.

Skills: Heavy lifting, long hours on your feet, lots of walking & standing. Able to follow instructions and work with suppliers, general public and other site staff. 

Supervisor

Duties: Work with Site Manager and other festival leads as well as supervise Cleaning and Waste Crew. Ensure crew has all supplies and are working in a safe environment.  Work schedules, training, check-in etc.

Skills: Previous managerial or supervisory role in a festival setting.  Ability to follow instructions as well as work independently. Make quick decisive decisions in a fast pace working environment. 

 

Forks Festivals

Crew

Duties: Operate and maintain Festival Info Tent, Accessibility Platform, Gate Greeters.  

Skills:

  • Good people and communication skills. 
  • Ability to maintain a strong, but pleasant presence amongst a crowd.
  • Able to sustain energy for long, late hours.

Supervisor

Duties: Supervise crew, schedules, accreditation, training, etc.

Skills:

  • Good people and communication skills with a background in managing people.
  • Ability to maintain a strong, but pleasant presence amongst a crowd
  • Able to sustain energy for long, late hours
