“In 2017 we’ll celebrate 50 years of amateur sport at the Games, and we’re inviting everyone to join us for the celebration by getting their tickets to be part of it all,” said Hubert Mesman, Co-Chair of the 2017 Canada Summer Games Host Society. “Hosting these Games is a once in a generation opportunity and is not to be missed. We couldn’t be more excited to showcase Manitoba to our visitors and welcome our country’s best young athletes.”

Week two sport passes include non-medal competition for: soccer, softball, indoor volleyball and wrestling.
“The Canada Games are the largest national multi-sport event for our promising athletes. The country’s top young competitors—some of whom will wear the maple leaf at future Olympic and Paralympic Games—will no doubt make big waves at the Winnipeg 2017 Canada Summer Games. Next year will be a year-long celebration as Canada celebrates the 150th anniversary of Confederation. I encourage all Canadians to support athletes from their communities as they participate at the Games in Winnipeg next summer,” said the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities.
“This is a very exciting time and I hope all Manitobans consider the great variety of sports and high level athletes we will have the chance to watch here in the province,” said Manitoba Sport, Culture and Heritage Minister Rochelle Squires. “These are the best amateur athletes in the country, competing at the highest level, in many amazing venues. I encourage everyone to take part in this celebration of sport and help us to show the rest of the nation how Manitoba supports the events we proudly host.”
Individual day passes, ceremonies, and medal competition tickets will be available for purchase in the new year. Once purchased, ticket passes and packages will be mailed starting March 1, 2017. To purchase tickets or for more information about ticket packages, visit the tickets page.
“We are thrilled to host the 2017 Canada Summer Games, and I can’t wait for the opportunity to show Winnipeg off to the entire nation,” said Mayor Brian Bowman. “With tickets officially on sale tomorrow, it brings us that much closer to the hottest summer in half a century, and I encourage all Winnipeggers, Manitobans, and Canadians to get involved by purchasing tickets or finding time to volunteer!”
“I’m very pleased that our sponsorship will make possible free admission at a number of sport venues. Credit unions are generous supporters of all kinds of events and causes, all the time. But they’ve stepped up especially quickly and enthusiastically to support the Canada Games — largely, I think, because they’re such a natural fit with our own cooperative values,” said Marilyn Brennan, SVP Governance & Strategy at Credit Union Central of Manitoba.
Also included in today’s announcement was the opening of a seasonal merchandise kiosk featuring official 2017 Canada Summer Games gear. The kiosk is located across from Tip Top Tailors in St.Vital Centre and will be open through December 31, 2016.
