The Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club will host tennis at the 2017 Canada Summer Games. The Club, founded in 1881, underwent a dramatic facelift in preparation for the Pan American Games in 1999. A new clubhouse was built and the courts were resurfaced and expanded, creating a club facility that is second to none in Manitoba.

Features

The Winnipeg Lawn Tennis Club has 11 plexipave hard courts with professional lighting for evening play.  For the 2017 Canada Summer Games, new renovations include three electronic scoreboards and upgraded LED lights.

The 2017 Canada Summer Games are coming to your community between the dates of August 7  - August 11 or 12, with tennis being hosted at Winnipeg Lawn and Tennis Club at 761 North Drive. Hosted in Winnipeg, Gimli, and Kenora, ON, the Games are the largest national multi-sport event for young athletes in Canada. Bringing together over 4,000 athletes and coaches and attracting nearly 20,000 visitors, the Canada Games will bring the excitement of its 50th anniversary to our region.

The 2017 Canada Summer Games Host Society and Co-Hosts are dedicated to delivering a positive Games experience for the communities in which they operate. We are committed to reducing the impact on your community in regards to noise, traffic, parking, litter and road closures to public areas. We appreciate your understanding of these potential impacts on your neighborhood, and are striving to keep all of these issues contained at a minimal level.
