Mascot Appearance Policy

The mascot will be available upon request to attend pre-Games and Games time events. Individuals, sponsors, businesses, etc. are encouraged to submit a Mascot Appearance Request Form if they would like the mascot to attend an upcoming event.

Appropriate Mascot Appearances

  • Sport test events
  • Rallies
  • Volunteer events
  • Sponsor announcements or activities
  • Community events

Inappropriate Mascot Appearances

  • Events or activities hosted by non-sponsors of the Games
  • Private parties not sanctioned by the Host Society
  • Events that do not match the Host Society or Games mandates and objectives

Other Considerations

The mascot should never be engaging in inappropriate activities or appearances, making inappropriate gestures, fighting, etc. Should inappropriate activities occur while the mascot is present, the event and its hosts will lose the ability to request the mascot in the future.

Future Mascot Plans

After final cleaning procedures are complete one mascot will be returned to the Canada Games Council, and Riverside Dental has first rights of refusal to the second mascot costume.

Booking the mascot

We ask that event hosts send a completed request form one (1) month prior to the scheduled event, and all requests will be prioritized by the community relations team. Mascot appearances will be limited to twenty (20) minute intervals and the Host Society reserves the right to refuse any requests at our discretion. Please note that priority will be given to Host Society and Sponsors events.

If there are any questions regarding the mascot or the booking process, please contact Shaye Callin, Program Assistant, Catch the Spirit & Mascot by phone at 403.550.7614 or email at
