Karate has been selected for inclusion in the 2023 Canada Winter Games.

“We are excited that the 2023 Canada Winter Games will feature Karate,” said Tom Quinn, Canada Games Council Chairman. “This will mark the first time Karate appears at the Canada Games and we can’t wait to see the nation’s top young athletes compete in this thrilling sport.”

The initial sports selected for inclusion for the 2023 Canada Winter Games were announced on January 9th, 2017. The Canada Games Council Sport Committee named four sports for 2023 bid committee selection: Karate, Table Tennis, Fencing and Target Shooting.
