General Description

Mountain Bike has been featured in every Canada Summer Games since it was originally added onto the 1997 Canada Games sport program.

Mountain Bike made its debut as an Olympic discipline at the Atlanta Games in 1996, with a cross-country event for both men and women. The program has remained unchanged ever since. Canada has won three Olympic Mountain Bike medals, all in the women’s cross-country event.
