The Games took place over 18 exciting days, beginning on August 8 and closing with a spectacular "A Celebration for All" themed ceremony on August 24, 2025.

The 30th edition of the Canada Games was the largest in the event’s history, welcoming over 5,000 participants (athletes, coaches, and managers) and showcasing the province’s renowned spirit and hospitality. The Games featured 19 sports and over 240 medal events, including the historic debut of female baseball, para-cycling, and the return of male rugby sevens. The celebration extended beyond sport through the 14-day ARTA VISTA Festival, which highlighted the vibrant culture and artistry of the province.

The Canada Games legacy will live on in St. John's and beyond. The new, state-of-the-art Fortis Canada Games Complex—a centrepiece of the Games—was officially opened, featuring a Class II IAAF Certified Track & Field including a 400m 8-lane track, a FIFA Quality Pro Certified Artificial Soccer Turf, and an indoor training facility for the development of amateur level sport in the province.
