The teams are set as the Memorial Cup kicks off this week in Red Deer, host of the 2019 Canada Winter Games.

Three of the four teams facing off feature Canada Games alumni.

First up, we have the host Red Deer Rebels.

Philp joined the Rebels this season after having been traded from Kootenay, where he had career stats of 235 points (95 goals, 140 assists) in 247 total WHL games for the Ice.

Luke represented Alberta at the 2011 Canada Winter Games and helped his team take home Bronze versus a strong Ontario squad that featured the likes Max Domi, Darnell Nurse, Bo Horvat and Nick Ritchie.

McGauley represented Team Sask at the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

Second we have the WHL champs, the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Macoy Erkamps is the heart and soul of the Wheat Kings, being one of only three players to play all 72 games for Brandon this season. The Wheat Kings captain had a tremendous individual season, posting career highs in every offensive category and also signing a professional contract with the Ottawa Senators.

Erkamps was a teammate of now Ottawa Senator Curtis Lazar at the 2011 Canada Winter Games. Along with Sam Reinhart, Shea Theodore, and Nic Petan, they helped Team BC win a Gold medal against a formidable Quebec lineup that featured Jonathan Drouin and Anthony Duclair.

Connor Gutenberg centres the fourth line for the Wheat Kings, a line that has played a critical role in Brandon's run to the WHL title. The energy line provides a spark for the team, something that might prove to be a difference maker for them at the Memorial Cup.  

Gutenberg competed for Team Manitoba in last year's 2015 Canada Winter Games, helping them earn a Bronze Medal.

Tim McGauley will look to play an important role for the Wheat Kings in this year's Memorial Cup. After coming off a dream season last year where he scored 42 goals and 105 points in 72 games, McGauley battled through injuries this season. He still managed to impress though, as the Washington Capitals signed him to a three year entry-level contract.

McGauley represented Team Sask at the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

Finally we have the QMJHL champs, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

It's been a whirlwind season for Rouyn-Noranda netminder Chase Marchand. After being picked up by the Huskies at the start of the year, Marchand quickly emerged as a star for team culminating in him winning the Jacques Plante Trophy with a league best goals against average of 2.42. His heroics carried on into the playoffs where he produced an incredible six shutouts and set a record by not allowing a single goal for 223 minutes, breaking the old record of 215.

Cousin of Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand, Chase played for Team Nova Scotia at the 2011 Canada Winter Games alongside superstar Nathan Mackinnon.
