Canada Games alumni shine at X Games

Canada Games alumni were front and centre at Saturday's Winter X Games in Aspen.

Mark McMorris, who represented Saskatchewan at the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, defended his snowboard slopestyle title and won gold in the event for the fourth time in five years.

He scored a 92.66 on his best run while Sebastien Toutant took home silver and Mons Roisland won bronze.

Kelsey Serwa, who was a flag bearer at last year's 2015 Canada Winter Games, won gold in ski cross. This is her second Winter X Games gold medal as she also captured one in 2011.

Serwa competed for Team BC at the 2007 Canada Winter Games and continues to be one of Canada's top ski cross athletes.
