Kevin Guo, Flag Bearer for Ontario

Article By: Table Tennis Canada

It is an honor to be the flag bearer at the opening ceremonies of the 2023 Canada Games. Kevin Guo, Ontario table tennis player, had the honor of carrying the flag for his province at the Eastlink in Charlottetown on February 18. In addition to feel proud of guiding the large Ontario delegation, Kevin talk about his selection as a golden opportunity to promote table tennis. This recognition, according to him, could make his sport shine and allow better visibility during the Games.

It is not surprising that this athlete who trains at the True North club in Toronto, was chosen as flag bearer. This 16-year-old student founded tt4ever, a non-profit organization that aims to promote table tennis and give back to the community by teaching table tennis to all ages. He also volunteers his time at Yee Hong Senior Center to help dementia recovery and prevention of patients through table tennis. What a model for all table tennis players in the country. We completely agree with the choice of Ontario.

Canada Games update: Kevin finished the 2023 Games as a four-time medallist (three silver, one bronze). Congratulations, Kevin.
